Chris Air
The man who is forefront and dynamic in every possible way, Chris Air has always showered the warm mood into a cold and sterile room of dance floors, and for all time he is consistent in loading the air with harmonic ambience. Chris Air stirred on with some melodic pit stops at spherical British break beats, early hard trance tunes, dynamic techno, and experimental electronic clicks and cuts. Performing with diverse approaches in different rooms, such as main dance floors, secret rooms or chill out areas, was always in his mind.
Chris Air began to ride with the exciting trip of music in 1990. He was then known as “Sir Djance”. As time passed, he figured out his appreciation to minimal music and up to this time he enjoyed driving the crowd with minimal rhythms and vital standard grooves, blended with exciting and harmonic elements. Around year 2000, immediately after some self made events, their “Glücksscherben” collective was created, and a number of event series in various clubs right across Basle continue to be present today.
As of 2004, Chris Air revives the pleasure of jamming in live performances and began once more creating his own music with captivating grooves and heavy bass lines. Chris Air’s music has always received a great response on music reviews within and outside the techno music scene. His 2006 project ‘Glücksscherben EP’ was a solo effort of Chris Air. The EP was created soon after a few live acts with ‘Die Bademeister’ and ‘Pumpernickel’.
Aside from working with ‘Die Bademeister’ and ‘Pumpernickel’, Chris Air has also collaborated with artists like ‘MonAir’ and ‘AiRaise’ and a lot of the heavyweight producers in the picturesque vista of music. He has also been associated with labels such as Eintakt, and RARE. Some works listed in his discography are his 2008 “Breat Gritten EP’ and ‘Somewhere with Air’ to name a few.
